Sabine Colleen’s animist hypnofolk transports listeners through the depths of hidden worlds, where stars have songs and rocks and plants have their own messages to bestow. Somewhere in the crossroads of primitive guitar traditions, ritual incantations and pagan psych folk stands their haunting compositions. When backed by a full band the singer-songwriter’s bardic ways are augmented, drawing listeners into an altered liminal space. To witness is to be at once gently held in and in active participation with the unfolding mystery.
