Oliver Bates Craven + Rainy Miatke
Artists in Residence Oliver Bates Craven and Rainy Miatke are diversely talented singers, songwriters, and multi-instrumentalists.
Currently playing guitar and fiddle as a member of Sierra Ferrell’s band, Craven has spent more than fifteen years as a professional musician, touring internationally and performing with acts such as Sierra Ferrell, The Stray Birds, and Western Centuries. His original songs and his ability to deftly switch instruments both captivate and entertain.
Miatke, more recently a professional, displays a musical understanding and dynamic often only possessed by the tenured performer. She currently plays mandolin in the Grammy-nominated bluegrass band Sister Sadie, and, as the subject of recent articles and interviews, has quickly become a fixture in the acoustic world.
As a Nashville-based duo, they bring a repertoire of both original and traditional songs to life through strong yet nuanced vocals, individually and in harmony with one another, supported by the use of a variety of stringed instruments.
Help ring in the new year and join them as they share their music in La Reina at El Rey Court!
