Of a Feather & Erisy Watt
After more than a decade of flying solo, Kelly Hunt, the poetic folksinger from Memphis, Tennessee, and Sara Morgan, the loud-mouthed country songwriter from McGehee, Arkansas, have decided to take flight together. What was supposed to be a side project between buddies has morphed into one of the most dynamic duos to come out of Nashville in years. Classic Southern rock meets ’90s country on their first co-write and lead single, “Wild Cotton,” produced by Eric Conn and set to release later this summer. Apart, they are Kelly Hunt and Sara Morgan. Together, they are of a Feather.

LA-based songwriter Erisy Watt crafts music that feels both rooted and expansive, weaving storytelling into a sound that shifts from earthy to cosmic, contemplative to playful. Described by No Depression as “what contemporary folk sounds like at its peak,” her songs draw comparisons to 60s and 70s songwriters, yet she explores the edges of her voice and acoustic guitar in ways that shake loose the tenets of any one decade or genre. Raised in Nashville and shaped by years in Portland, Erisy has spent the past decade performing across the U.S. and abroad. She’s currently touring in support of her latest album, not either or but everything.
