Carson Barry Trio
Born in Southern Oregon, Carson Barry is a folk singer and multi-instrumentalist whose journey has taken her from the forests of the Pacific Northwest to the deserts of New Mexico. Initially drawn to the Southwest as a botanist, Carson lived nomadically in her truck, working across the region for years but was always called back to the small town of Madrid, NM, where she eventually made her home and transitioned to work as a full-time musician. Now, she's returning to New Mexico on the final leg of her West Coast and Southwest tour in support of her debut EP, As Long As I Can.
Carson’s music is deeply influenced by her connection to the natural world and the sweet communities she has called home. Drawing inspiration from artists like Gillian Welch, Big Thief, and Lucinda Williams, her sound blends traditional folk with elements of rock and jazz. Her hauntingly cinematic originals will be accompanied by Erik Sawyer on drums and Mike DeEmedio on Rhodes piano, organ, and harmonica.
