Named after the neighborhood in which the band was formed, Alto Street is a Santa Fe based foursome playing High Desert Americana. The group is led by the songwriting, rhythm guitar, and vocals of Steve McCormick. Steve Linger is second in command with his arsenal of mandolin, dobro, lap steel, backup vocals and electric guitar. Joe Kelemen and Jim Palmer hold down the rhythm section.McCormick’s songs are inspired by his life in Santa Fe and tend to be be loosely autobiographical.
