Hanna Haas

Join us at La Reina for a night of free live music with Hanna Haas.

Hanna Haas is a songwriter drawn to the dance of light and dark. Currently based in Portland Oregon, she has come to call the entire West Coast her home. Hanna describes her music as “contemplative folk,” identifying with artists Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, and Feist for their alternate tunings and mesmerizing melodies. Inspired by environments in which she has inhabited, Hanna sings of the dramatic landscape of Big Sur, the California sun, and the vast and open Pacific Northwest sky. Hanna loves to engage her audiences in sweet story telling and laughter, leaving her audience in a state of heart-felt introspection.

Hanna Haas performs solo and as a duo (mainly cello as accompaniment). Hanna loves to engage her audiences in sweet story-telling and laughter, leaving her audience in a state of heart-felt introspection.

Her debut album is called, “To Her, the Sea”. Each song seeks to capture the blessings and curses of our lives and the beauty of both—such as how warm and pleasant the sun feels after many days of rain, how bright the stars can shine amidst such darkness, how small one can feel when looking up at the vast Pacific Northwest sky. Grief, heartbreak, softening, and surrender, and a hope for redemption and solace through it all.

Must be 21+ to enjoy beverages at the bar. Please be mindful of and respectful of others. Tickets are not required. This event is free and open to the public however tips to the band are always welcome and appreciated!
